What I'm Working On...

Here is a blog on current endeavors and stuff I'm working on.

Jewelry Design

A custom-designed jewelry piece

This project showcases my latest adventure into recycled plastic jewelry design. Inspired by the beaches' organic forms and memories from my childhood in Cádiz, I designed these jewels for the brand "Sea Jeys". Each piece is handcrafted using sustainable materials.

Design Process

First design step for jewelry Second design step for jewelry Final design sketch for jewelry

The design process involved multiple stages, from initial concept sketches to refining the final designs. I focused on bringing the organic shapes of the beach and nature into the jewelry through sustainable practices.

The final pieces are now available at seajeys.com. Sustainability is at the heart of the design while also capturing the beauty of the sea and nature.

Information Architecture Wireframe

UX design wireframes and presentation

I recently enjoyed creating this wireframe, focusing on the layout of the Information Architecture base from a previous study and Card Sorting exercise I conducted with users.

Adapting Traditional Recipes for Modern Health

Storyboard with 6 drawings

I recently created a storyboard for a recipe app designed for older adults. This is part of a broader project that involves interviews with five individuals aged 60 and above, along with a subsequent study to understand their needs and preferences. The app aims to offer traditional recipes with personalized filters, enabling users to adapt dishes to their dietary preferences and health conditions. In this particular storyboard, I introduce Maria, a 65-year-old user with kidney issues, who is searching for anti-inflammatory alternatives to her favorite recipes.

Jerez Flamenco Fashion Week

I recently went to the fitting for the Flamenco Catwalk in Jerez, a yearly event that sets the tone for the dresses and styles that will be worn in the Feria. Alongside Seville, Jerez is the center for flamenco, and it's been truly an honor to be a part of this process as a model. I was fitted for various dresses, one of which I'm particularly excited about but won't tell you about until the day comes. It was fun to see the seamstresses and designers iterate on their projects and decide in real-time. It's truly an honor to be able to connect with my culture and the fabulous people behind its fashions. I will be walking 14 shows, I can't wait!
